Description: Grizzly Republic began in 2004 with a few barrels of Zinfandel from Amador County. Today our winery is located in Paso Robles where we produce two brands and 14 wines with an additional 4 varieties planned by the end of the year. About: In 2004 Brian Chesseborough started in a corner of a winery, called the grizzly corner. His first wine was a 2004 Amador County Zinfandel. As the wines evolved so did the name. He needed a name as strong and majestic as his wines, what better than a bear- and Grizzly Republic Wines was born. Grizzly Republic is now a winery in Paso Robles consisting of ten varieties as bold and beautiful as a grizzly. Bob Harper – Raised in the central valley, Bob is a San Jose State University graduate. After a high flying career as a navy pilot and an employee at Lockhead Martin, Bob finally came in for a smooth landing in 2002 to the small town of Paso Robles where his wine career began and currently resides.
